Summary: In the article “No signs paparazzi played role in Bruce Jenner car crash, investigators say,” Bruce Jenner was involved in serious car crash. Luckily Jenner was not hurt, yet 5 children and 2 adults were hospitalized, and 1 person dead. The article reports that on a Saturday afternoon, Jenner was involved in a traffic collision including multiple cars. Jenner was reportedly followed by 5 paparazzis. Los Angeles police report “Jenner's Escalade was towing a trailer with an all-terrain vehicle on it when it ran into the Lexus from behind, Brooks said. The Lexus spun into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Hummer H2. The driver of the Lexus was killed.” Also in recent news with Bruce Jenner there have been rumors that he might consider gender transitioning from a male to a female.
Analysis:From the article I think that you can make the assumption: are paparazzis becoming out of control? Today paparazzis are just pests. I believe that there are good paparazzis as in very know well social media like local TV stations, Popular media stations as in CNN, and even just reporters that report for smaller media stations. The Difference from the people that I just said and the “pests”, is that these types of paparazzis (pests) are getting information from celebrities at all times. Even though it is just the paparazzi’s job to report of a celebrity and what they are doing I think that there should be a line on what you can do and how you can follow that celebrity.

In this article you are focusing on the paparazzi and assuming that they are the whole reason for the crash. While it is surely a possibility that they contributed you should also keep an open mind to other scenarios. One of these scenarios being that Jenner could have been distracted while driving. Jenner possibly could have been checking his phone. Yes I believe that the paparazzi should be controlled a little more because even the celebrities often make comments about how it gets out of control but in this crash specifically I do not believe you can blame it on the paparazzi.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Will on his point of view. Paparazzi are starting to become out of control and stalking the celebrities too much. These people should be allowed freedom and personal space. Paparazzi should be controlled and shouldn't be able to follow celebrities wherever they go. They are getting out of hand.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the paparazzis need to be controlled. Now days, it seems that all they do is stalk celebrities and take an occasional photo. It also seems like they are out to ruin peoples lives. What we need is to regulate when it is and isn't okay to follow someone.
