Animals spend their whole lives in tiny cages just to be killed and fed to the clueless consumers of today's society. Do you know where your food is coming from and how it got onto your plate? You may say your meat is "organic" but how can you be sure of what has been fed to those animals throughout their lives.
According to the Rolling Stones: Factory Farming, which is known for writing about the more controversial topics in our day to day lives. It is written by Paul Solotaroff a proud an animals rights activist been discovering these issues for years. He takes us into the dark corners of slaughterhouses and show us exactly how some animals spend their lives:
Here is an image of an average factory farm. As you can see these pigs are places in cages just big enough for them to be able to stand. No room to more, lie down, eat or sleep. They are kept here all day and all night, they are over fed food and since they have no room to move they have no possibility of burning off the food they were just force fed. This creates more fat on the animals therefore more meat to be sold.
Being a vegetarian, I care about animals a lot. I believe animals should have equal rights as do humans. Problems like these are what stops that from happening. This Is just the first stage of animal cruelty, how they "prepare: the animals before being killed. In my next articles I will discover what happens in the next stage.
