• Briefly explain why you are interested in studying your topic:  

As a student who has enjoyed studying history over the years, I have learned about all sorts of backgrounds and ethnicities among other things. I find it interesting to see people leave everything behind to come to America. This also affects me because I have family that came over to America during the early part of the 20th century.

• The overall question I plan on answering by the end of the project:

Is It possible to still achieve the American dream?

Does Race/ Ethnicity play a part in achieving it?

Is it worth achieving anymore?

• Sub questions I will need to answer in order to answer the overall question:

How has the dream evolved with time?

Is it still present in our society?

Is it only prevalent with a certain group of people?
