Dairy Monopoly

Eleven plus dairy companies in France created a monopoly over the french people by creating a fixed price for their dairy products and all but one of the companies are now being fined upwards of 193 euros (equivalent to 204 american dollars). This conspiracy was taking place from 2006 to 2012. They managed to get away with this by exchanging information via secret meetings, emails, and even phone calls. Yoplait is opting out of the fines however.

Its shocking that the monopoly went undetected by so many governments and that a company with so much involvement is getting off scott free.

Why should Yoplait get a free pass when they had involvement in this monopoly that the others have to pay? Wouldn't that just make them become more powerful over all of the other dairy companies?
