The Trend of Drones in Industries
Drones are making what used to be difficult and expensive tasks, simple and a lot less expensive making it a no brainier for companies to invest in them.
Construction companies aren't always the first movers when it comes to new technology, but with the new advancements in drones they have begun to like them a lot. Construction companies have began using drones to map out construction sites. They are employing drones made by a company called SkyCatch, which enables driver-less bulldozers to take instructions from a unmanned drone.
You may or may not have realized this already, but more and more companies are beginning to film using these drones, giving them the ability to get difficult to reach angles. There has been advancements in cameras, many modern drones use steady-cam like Gimbals to make the footage look very smooth.
Farmers are also starting to use drones more and more as the advancements would make it stupid for them to not use one. They have begun using them to monitor crop health and to gauge growth patterns which previously had to be done by helicopters at a great expense. Companies like Precision Hawk are developing software and hardware that automatically measures the height of each and every crop, detects weeds and can even count the number of plants. These kinds of drones are using fixed wings, which gives them the ability to stay in the air for much longer.
These are just a few things that drones are being used for, with time they will only increase to be used more and more. Companies will see all sorts of new uses for them and although the drones them self are expensive, they will soon pay off for the tremendous work that they can achieve unmanned. . The incredible increase with technology is making our jobs, or even lives simpler and simpler.
