New Ford Automatically Obeys Speed Limits

Ford claims to have to solution to the people with a lead foot, or the speed demons.  The newest edition of the S-Max car has new technology that will actually scan the traffic signs/speed limits and adjust the throttle to help drivers stay within legal speeds, and to avoid fines.

The S-Max is able to scan the roads with its traffic sign recognition and will adjust the speed accordingly.  The new system doesn't even pull down the brake to slow down, instead it smoothly controls engine torque by electronically adjusting the amount of fuel delivered to the engine.

This technology is taking a step towards to the driver-less car, but those still have yet to hit the markets.

Technology is improving day by day in our society, and will continue to improve for a long time.  Life as we know it today, will be very different come 20 years.  Technology such as this that Ford has created will not only keep people from speeding, but it will also keep people safe. Ford says that drivers can temporarily override the system by pressing down on the throttle, but the car will respond and will go back to the given speed limit soon after.  This technology will defiantly help keep the roads a safer place, and will lead to further technology for cars to come.
